During my fellowship with Wild Side Media, I got to spearhead multiple editorial projects, produce and edit multimedia videos, and craft engaging social media content. I was able to cover several first-of-their-kind events, interview inspiring artists, and get behind the scenes of D.C. institutions. Some of my projects included:

  • Leading the charge on social media campaigns promoting nonprofits and charities supporting LGBTQ+ people and people of color in D.C.,

  • Planning the first drag brunch at the historic Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,

  • Writing about special exhibitions and openings at the Folger Shakespeare Library, D.C. Arts Center and The Phillips Collection.

Below, you can browse several creative endeavors I was involved in by clicking the pictures (you’ll see a mix of reels and articles). I made several graphics and took several photos, but most of Wild Side’s visual elements are credited to my colleague and close friend Maggie Van Fleet (@vanfleetphotography on Instagram).
