During my fellowship with Wild Side Media, I got to spearhead multiple editorial projects, produce and edit multimedia videos, and craft engaging social media content. I was able to cover several first-of-their-kind events, interview inspiring artists, and get behind the scenes of D.C. institutions. Some of my projects included:
Leading the charge on social media campaigns promoting nonprofits and charities supporting LGBTQ+ people and people of color in D.C.,
Planning the first drag brunch at the historic Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,
Writing about special exhibitions and openings at the Folger Shakespeare Library, D.C. Arts Center and The Phillips Collection.
Below, you can browse several creative endeavors I was involved in by clicking the pictures (you’ll see a mix of reels and articles). I made several graphics and took several photos, but most of Wild Side’s visual elements are credited to my colleague and close friend Maggie Van Fleet (@vanfleetphotography on Instagram).
