Fall Sports
Autumn comes around and brings with it Halloween, pumpkin-flavored things and, of course, the start of fall sports seasons. From football to field hockey, there is no shortage of dynamic and exciting games to watch both online and in person across Ohio University’s campus.
My first ever sports story was a volleyball recap. It wasn’t anything special, but it showed me a new type of journalism I had never experienced before. There was something about the roar of students in The Convo that made me realize how fun being involved in sports media could be. Since that first story, I’ve come back to The Convo for many volleyball games, both as a spectator and as a journalist. I’ll always have a soft spot for the sport, and I can’t wait to keep covering it.

Last year, I got to go with The Post’s sports editors to cover the Mid-American Conference Pro Day. The high-stakes environment, inflamed by the presence of several NFL recruiters, was truly a spectacle. Being a part of that process and feeling the palpable hope and anticipation in Walter Field House was truly special.
